Ἐξεγέρθητι, Βοῤῥᾶ, καὶ ἔρχου, Νότε, διάπνευσον κῆπόν μου, καὶ ῥευσάτωσαν ἀρώματά μου. Ἔοικεν ἐπιτιμᾷν ἡ νύμφη τῷ Βοῤῥέᾳ, τὴν ἐξουσίαν λαβοῦσα παρὰ τοῦ ἐπιτιμήσαντος τῷ ἀνέμῳ νυμφίου· διὸ παρὰ τοῖς τρισὶν εὐαγγελισταῖς ἐπιτιμηθῆναι τῷ ὰνέμῳ εἴρηται· οἱ δὲ ἄνεμοι ἁπλῶς ὑπακούουσιν αὐτῷ· Χριστὸς οὖν ἐξωθουμένους τοῦ διαβόλου, εἰσοικίζεται ταῖς ψυχαῖς περὶ οὗ τὸ, ὁ Θεὸς ἀπὸ Θαμὰν ἡξει, τουτέστιν ἐκ Νότου.
