Στίχ. ια΄. Ὥφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ἄγγελος Κυρίου ἑστὼς ἐκ δεβιῶν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τοῦ θυχαάματος. Στίχ. ιβ΄. Καὶ ἐτοράχθη Ζαχαρίας ἰδών· καὶ φόβος ἐπέπεσεν ἐπʼ αὐτόν. Στίχ. ιγ΄. Εἷπε δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ ἄγγελος· Μὴ ψοθοῦ, Ζαχαρία, διότι ἐσηκούσθη ἡ δέησίς σου, παὶ ἠ γυνἡ σου Ἐλισάβετ γεῖνήσει υέόν σοι, καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὅνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰωάσνην.
