Εἶπε δὲ Ἰούδας πρὸς λοραὴλ τὸν πατέρα αὑτοῦ· Ἀπστειλον τὸ παιιδάριον μετʼ ἐμοῦ, καὶ ἀναστάντες πορευσόμεθα ἴνα ζῶμεν. Μήποτε (46) προφητεύει, ὅτι ἤμελλε μετὰ τῆς Ἰούδα φυλῆς εἶναι Βενιαμίν. Ἐγὼ δὲ ἐκδέχομαι αὐτόν· ἐκ χερός μου ζήτησον αὐτὸν, ἐὰν μὴ ἀγάγω αὐτὸν πρὸς σὲ, καὶ τὰ ἐξῆς. Μηδὲν (47) τῶν δυνατῶν γενέσθαι ὡς ἀνθρώπῳ τῷ θενιαμὶν λογισάμενος Ἰούδας, προφητικῶς, οἶμαι, τῷ πατρὶ ἐπαγγέλλεται.
