Πεἴρά τις, οἶμαι (90), ὁ βίος ἐν τῷ Ἰώβ. Περιστάσεως δὲ οὐκ ἔνι ῥυσθῆναι πικρῶν ἢ τὸν ἐν Θεῷ γεγονότα. Τίνεται δέ τις ἐν Θεῷ, μετέχων αὐτοῦ, ὡς καὶ τῶν ἀγνοημάτων ῥύεταί τις ἐν ἐπιστήμῃ γενόμενος, ὅστις εἰς πειρασμὸν οὐκ εἰσέρχεται, οὐ τῷ μὴ πειρασθῆναι, ἀλλὰ τῷ μὴ ἁλῶναι ταῖς παγίσι τοῦ πειρασμοῦ. Ὑπερβαίνει οὖν οὗτος τὸ τεῖχος τῆς ἁμαρτίας, ὀπίσω ταύτας ποιούμενος.
