23 Πάλιν δεδόσθω στίχος ὁ ὑποκείμενος Μῆνιν ἄειδε θεὰ Δημήτερος ἀγλαοκάρπου, καὶ εἰλήφθω τά τε ἀνάλογα καὶ οἱ πυθμένες ἅμα ταῖς μονάσιν ὥσπερ ὑπόκεινται δ΄ η΄ ε΄ α΄ ε΄ α΄ ε΄ α΄ δ΄ ε΄ θ΄ ε΄ α΄ δ΄ η΄ δ΄ η΄ γ΄ ε΄ α΄ ζ΄ β΄ α΄ γ΄ γ΄ α΄ ζ΄ β΄ α΄ α΄ η΄ ζ΄ δ΄, καὶ πεπολλαπλασιάσθωσαν διʼ ἀλλήλων οἱ ἀριθμοί· γίνονται τετραπλαῖ μυριάδες δύο, τριπλαῖ αωμθ΄, διπλαῖ δυβ΄, ἁπλαῖ εχ΄.
