44 κθ΄. Τούτου δειχθέντος πρόδηλον ὅπως δεῖ κύβου δοθέντος κύβον ἄλλον εὑρεῖν κατὰ τὸν δοθέντα λόγον. Ἔστω γὰρ ὁ δοθεὶς λόγος τῆς Α εὐθείας πρὸς τὴν Β, καὶ τῶν Α B δύο μέσαι ἀνάλογον κατὰ τὸ συνεχὲς εἰλήφθωσαν αἱ Γ ∠· ἔσται ἄρα ὡς ἡ Α πρὸς τὴν Β, οὕτως ὁ ἀπὸ τῆς Α κύβος πρὸς τὸν ἀπὸ τῆς Γ κύβον· τοῦτο γὰρ δῆλον ἐκ τῶν στοιχείων.
