47 Τετραγώνου γάρ ὄντος τοῦ ΑΒΓ∠ καὶ τῆς μέν περὶ τὲ κέντρον τὸ Γ περιφερείας τῆς ΒΕ∠, τῆς δέ ΒΗΘ τετραγωνιζούσης γινομένῃς, ὡς προείρηται, δείκνυται, ὡς ἡ ∠ΕΒ περιφέρεια πρὸς τὴν ΒΓ εὐθεῖαν, οὕτως ἡ ΒΓ πρὸς τὴν ΓΘ εὐθεῖαν. εἰ γὰρ μὴ ἔσκιμ, ἤτοι πρὸς μείζονα ἔσται τῆς ΓΘ ἢ πρὸς ἐλάσσονα.
