53 λε΄. Ὥσπερ ἐν ἐπιπέδῳ νοεῖται γινομένη τις ἕλιξ φερομένου σημείου κατʼ εὐθείας κύκλον περιγραφούσης, καὶ ἐπὶ στερεῶν φερομένου σημείου κατά μιᾶς πλευράς τινʼ ἐπιφάνειαν περιγραφούσης, οὕτως δέ καὶ ἐπὶ σφαίρας ἕλικα νοεῖν ἀκόλουθόν ἐστι γραφομένην τὸν τρόπον τοῦτον.
