56 συνάγεται δέ διὸ τούτου ἡ μὲν ἀπὸ τῆς ἕλικος ἀπολαμβανομένη ἐπιφάνεια πρὸς τὴν ΘΝΚ περιφέρειαν ὀκταπλασία τοῦ ΑΒΓ τμήματος ἐπεὶ καὶ ἡ τοῦ ἡμισφαιρίου ἐπιφάνεια τοῦ ΑΒΓ∠ τομέως), ἡ δὲ μεταξὺ τῆς ἕλικος καὶ τῆς βάσεως τοῦ ἡμισφαιρίου ἐπιφάνεια ὀκταπλασία τοῦ ΑΓ∠ τριγώνου, τουτἐστιν ἴση τῷ ἀπὸ τῆς διαμέτρου τῆς σφαίρας τετραγώνῳ.
