Ἐμὶν μὲν ἀκούσιον τᾶς δάμαρτος τὸ ἄγος, τὸ δὲ ἑκὼν τῷ παιδί με ἄπο θυμοῦ ποιήσαις ἀδικεῖς. ἢ ὦν παῦσον τὰν ἀπήνειαν τῶ παιδός, ἢ ἐγὼν τὸ ἀμυνοῦμαι. καὶ γὰρ δὴν καὶ αὐτὸς ποινὰς ἔτισα τὶν τᾷ θυγατρί, συγκατακαύσας αὐτᾷ τὰ πασᾶν Κορινθιᾶν εἵματα.
