κακίαν μὲν γὰρ ἡττᾶσθαι οὐκ αἰσχρόν, ᾗ συγγενὲς ἀδοξία, ἀρετὴν δὲ ὄνειδος, ᾗ πάντων οἰκειότατον εὔκλεια, δι’ ἣν πέφυκε νικᾶν ἢ διατηρεῖν αὑτὴν ἀήττητον.
