„πολὺν μὲν ἤδη χρόνον συμβιοῦμεν ἀλλήλοις εὐαρεστοῦντες, οὗ δὲ χάριν καὶ αὐτοὶ συνεληλύθαμεν καὶ ἡ φύσις τὴν ἀνδρὸς καὶ γυναικὸς ἡρμόσατο κοινωνίαν, τέκνων γένεσις οὐκ ἔστιν, ἀλλ’ οὐδ’ εἰσαῦθις ἐξ ἐμοῦ γε ὑπερήλικος ἤδη γεγονυίας ἐλπίζεται.
