ἔστι μὲν ἡμῖν οὐσία πολλὴ καὶ ἄφθονος πλοῦτος, οὐχ ὡς μετοίκοις — ἤδη γὰρ τῶν αὐτοχθόνων τοὺς ἐν εὐτυχίαις λαμπραῖς ὑπερβάλλομεν —, κληρονόμος δ’ οὐδεὶς ἀποδέδεικται καὶ διάδοχος, καίτοι γε εἶναι δυνάμενος, ἂν ταῖς ἐμαῖς παραινέσεσι πεισθῇς.“
