ἀλλ’ οὐ μόνον τὴν πρὸς τὸ ὂν πίστιν αὐτῷ μαρτυροῦσιν οἱ χρησμοί, τὴν βασιλίδα τῶν ἀρετῶν, ἀλλὰ καὶ πρῶτον αὐτὸν ἀπεφήναντο „πρεσβύτερον“ (Gen. 24, 1), τῶν πρὸ αὐτοῦ τριπλάσια καὶ πολλαπλάσια ἔτη βιωσάντων, ὧν οὐδένα παρειλήφαμεν ἀξιωθέντα ταύτης τῆς προσρήσεως.
