οὐκ ἀπὸ σκοποῦ μέντοι ταῖς τοσαύταις ἀρεταῖς ὑμνήσας τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἐπεῖπεν, ὅτι „τέλειος ἦν ἐν τῇ γενεᾷ αὐτοῦ“ (Gen. 6,9), δηλῶν ὅτι οὐ καθάπαξ ἀλλὰ κατὰ σύγκρισιν τῶν κατ’ ἐκεῖνον τὸν χρόνον γεγονότων ἀγαθὸς ἦν.
