Ταῦτα τοῦ θεοφιλοῦς τὰ προτέλεια, οἷς ἕπονται πράξεις οὐκ εὐκαταφρόνητοι. τὸ δὲ μέγεθος αὐτῶν οὐ παντί τῳ δῆλον, ἀλλὰ μόνον τοῖς γευσαμένοις ἀρετῆς, οἳ τὰ θαυμαζόμενα παρὰ τοῖς πολλοῖς εἰώθασι χλευάζειν ἕνεκα μεγέθους τῶν περὶ ψυχὴν ἀγαθῶν.
