ἔνιοι δ’ οὐκ Ἀριστοτέλην τῆς δόξης εὑρετὴν λέγουσιν ἀλλὰ τῶν Πυθαγορείων τινάς. ἐγὼ δὲ καὶ Ὀκέλλου συγγράμματι, Λευκανοῦ γένος, ἐπιγραφομένῳ ’Περὶ τῆς τοῦ παντὸς φύσεως’ ἐνέτυχον, ἐν ᾧ ἀγένητόν τε καὶ ἄφθαρτον οὐκ ἀπεφαίνετο μόνον ἀλλὰ καὶ δι’ ἀποδείξεων κατεσκεύαζε τὸν κόσμον εἶναι.
