πατέρα δὲ τοῦ Πλατωνείου δόγματος ἔνιοι νομίζουσι τὸν ποιητὴν Ἡσίοδον, γενητὸν καὶ ἄφθαρτον. οἰόμενοι τὸν κόσμον ὑπ’ ἐκείνου λέγεσθαι, γενητὸν μέν, ὅτι φησὶν „ἤτοι μὲν πρώτιστα χάος γένετ’, αὐτὰρ ἔπειτα γαῖ’ εὐρύστερνος, πάντων ἕδος ἀσφαλὲς αἰεί,“
