Καὶ μὴν ἅπαντί τῳ κἀκεῖνο δῆλον, ὅτι φθειρομένης μὲν τῆς γῆς ἀνάγκη καὶ τὰ χερσαῖα τῶν ζῴων καθ’ ὅλον τὸ γένος ἀπόλλυσθαι. φθειρομένου δὲ ὕδατος τὰ ἔνυδρα, καὶ ἀέρος μέντοι καὶ πυρὸς τὰ ἀεροπόρα καὶ πυρίγονα.
