πάντων δ’ ἀναιρεθέντων, ὑπ’ ἀργίας καὶ ἀπραξίας δεινῆς ἀβιώτῳ βίῳ χρήσεται· οὗ τί γένοιτ’ ἂν ἀτοπώτερον; ὀκνῶ λέγειν, ὃ μηδὲ θέμις ὑπονοεῖν, ὅτι ἀκολουθήσει θεῷ θάνατος, εἴ γε καὶ ἠρεμία· τὸ γὰρ ἀεικίνητον ἐὰν ἀνέλῃς ψυχῆς, καὶ αὐτὴν πάντως συνανελεῖς· ψυχὴ δὲ τοῦ κόσμου· κατὰ τοὺς ἀντιδοξοῦντας ὁ θεός.
