παιδευτικώτατα οὖν εἴρηται τὸ „πεσεῖται ὁ ἱππεύς“, ἵν’ εἴ τις ἀποπίπτοι [μὲν] κακῶν, ἐγείρηται [δὲ] ἀγαθοῖς ἐπερειδόμενος καὶ συνορθιάζηται. διδασκαλικώτατον δὲ κἀκεῖνο, μὴ πρόσω φάναι, κατόπιν δὲ πίπτειν, ἐπειδὴ κακίας καὶ πάθους ὑστερίζειν ἀεὶ λυσιτελέστατον·
