μυρίοι οὖν τῶν λεγομένων σοφιστῶν θαυμασθέντες κατὰ πόλεις καὶ τὴν οἰκουμένην σχεδὸν ἅπασαν ἐπὶ τιμὴν ἐπιστρέψαντες ἕνεκα ἀκριβολογίας καὶ τῆς περὶ τὰς εὑρέσεις δεινότητος ἀνὰ κράτος τοῖς πάθεσι ἐγκατεγήρασαν καὶ ἐγκατέτριψαν τὸν βίον οὐδὲν ἰδιωτῶν ἠμελημένων καὶ φαυλοτάτων διενεγκόντες ἀνθρώπων·
