ἐκ μὲν γὰρ εὐφυΐας εὐθιξία ἐπιμονὴ μνήμη, ἐκ δὲ διδασκαλίας εὐμάθεια προσοχὴ καθάπερ τινὸς ῥίζαι δένδρου μέλλοντος ἡμέρους καρποὺς ἀποκυΐσκειν συνίστανται, ὧν ἄνευ τελεσιουργηθῆναι διάνοιαν ἀμήχανον·
