οὐχ ὁρᾷς ὅτι καὶ Ἀβραὰμ ὁ σοφός, ἡνίκα ἤρξατο μετρεῖν κατὰ θεὸν πάντα καὶ μηδὲν ἀπολείπειν τῷ γενητῷ, λαμβάνει τῆς φλογίνης ῥομφαίας μίμημα „πῦρ καὶ μάχαιραν“ (Gen. 22, 6), διελεῖν καὶ καταφλέξαι τὸ θνητὸν ἀφ’ ἑαυτοῦ γλιχόμενος, ἵνα γυμνῇ τῇ διανοίᾳ μετάρσιος πρὸς θεὸν ἀναπτῇ;
