Τίς δέ ἐστιν ἡ σύγχυσις, ἐρευνητέον. πῶς οὖν ἐρευνήσομεν; οὕτως, ὥς γ’ ἐμοὶ φαίνεται· πολλάκις οὓς πρότερον οὐκ ᾔδειμεν, ἀπὸ τῶν συγγενῶν καί τινα πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐχόντων ἐμφέρειαν ἐγνωρίσαμεν· οὐκοῦν καὶ πράγματα τὸν αὐτὸν τρόπον, ἃ μὴ ῥᾴδιον ἐξ ἑαυτῶν καταλαμβάνεσθαι, δῆλα γένοιτ’ ἂν κατὰ τὴν τῶν οἰκείων αὐτοῖς ὁμοιότητα.
