λόγου δὲ θάνατός ἐστιν ἡσυχία, οὐχ ἣν οἱ ἐπιεικέστεροι ποιούμενοι σύμβολον αἰδοῦς μετέρχονται — δύναμις γὰρ καὶ ἥδε ἐστὶν ἀδελφὴ τῆς ἐν τῷ λέγειν ταμιευομένη μέχρι καιροῦ τὰ λεκτέα —, ἀλλ’ ἣν οἱ ἐξησθενηκότες καὶ ἀπειρηκότες διὰ τὴν τῶν ἐναντίων ἰσχὺν ὑπομένουσιν ἄκοντες λαβὴν οὐδεμίαν ἔθ’ εὑρίσκοντες.
