διὰ τοῦτο καὶ Μεσοποταμίαν οἰκεῖ καταπεποντωμένης ὥσπερ ἐν μεσαιτάτῳ ποταμοῦ βυθῷ τῆς διανοίας αὐτοῦ καὶ μὴ δυναμένης ἀνανήξασθαι καὶ ἀνακῦψαι· τοῦτο δὲ τὸ πάθος ἀνατολὴ μὲν ἀφροσύνης, κατάδυσις δὲ εὐλογιστίας ἐστίν.
