ἀδελφὰ καὶ συγγενῆ τούτοις. ἤδη δὲ καὶ προσυπερβάλλοντές τινες οὐ μόνον τὰς αὑτῶν ψυχὰς ἐπὶ ταῦτα ἤλειψαν, ἀλλὰ καὶ τοὺς ἀμείνους καὶ γένους ὄντας ὁρατικοῦ βιασάμενοι κατηνάγκασαν πλινθουργεῖν καὶ πόλεις οἰκοδομεῖν ὀχυρὰς (Exod. 1,11) τῷ βασιλεύειν δοκοῦντι νῷ, βουλόμενοι τοῦτο ἐνδείξασθαι, ὅτι δοῦλον μὲν τὸ ἀγαθὸν κακοῦ πάθος τ’ εὐπαθείας δυνατώτερον, φρόνησις δὲ καὶ πᾶσα ἀρετὴ ἀφροσύνης καὶ κακίας ἁπάσης ὑπήκοον, ὡς ὑπηρετεῖν ἐξ ἀνάγκης ἅττ’ ἂν προστάττῃ τὸ δεσπόζον.
