ἔστι δ’ ὅτε καὶ ἀποπειρωμένη τῶν φοιτητῶν, ὡς ἔχουσι προθυμίας καὶ σπουδῆς, οὐχ ὑπαντᾷ μέν, ἐγκαλυψαμένη δὲ τὸ πρόσωπον ὥσπερ Θάμαρ ἐπὶ τριόδου καθέζεται, πόρνης δόξαν παρασχοῦσα τοῖς ὁδῷ βαδίζουσιν (Gen. 38, 14. 15), ἵνα οἱ περιέργως ἔχοντες ἀνακαλύψαντες ἀναφήνωσι καὶ καταθεάσωνται τὸ ἄψαυστον καὶ ἀμίαντον καὶ παρθένιον ὄντως αἰδοῦς καὶ σωφροσύνης ἐκπρεπέστατον κάλλος.
