ἆρ’ οὐκ ἄξιον ἐπὶ τούτοις ἀνθρώπους, ὅσοι γονέων ἀμελοῦσιν, ἐγκαλύπτεσθαι καὶ κακίζειν ἑαυτούς, ὠλιγωρηκότας ὧν ἢ μόνων ἢ πρὸ τῶν ἄλλωι ἀναγκαῖον ἦν πεφροντικέναι, καὶ ταῦτ’ οὐ διδόντας μᾶλλον ἢ ἀποδιδόντας; παίδων γὰρ ἴδιον οὐδέν, ὃ μὴ γονέων ἐστίν, ἢ οἴκοθεν ἐπιδεδωκότων ἢ τὰς αἰτίας ἰῆς κτήσεως παρασχομένων.
