πρῶτον μὲν γὰρ πηγὴν ἔχει φιληδονίαν, ἣ καὶ τὰ σώματα θρύπτει τῶν ἐχόντων καὶ τοὺς τῆς ψυχῆς ἐκλύει τόνους καὶ τὰς οὐσίας διαφθείρει πάντα δίκην ἀσβέστου πυρὸς ὧν ἄν προσάψηται καταφλέγουσα καὶ μηδὲν σῷον ἀπολείπουσα τῶν κατὰ τὸν ἀνθρώπινον βίον.
