ἴστω μέντοι καὶ ἱεροσυλίας ἔνοχος ὢν τὸ ἱερώτατον τῶν τοῦ θεοῦ κτημάτων σεσυληκώς· τί γὰρ σεμνότερον ἢ ἁγιώτερον ἀνάθημα ἀνθρώπου; χρυσὸς μὲν καὶ ἄργυρος καὶ λίθοι πολυτελεῖς καὶ ὅσαι ἄλλαι τιμαλφέσταται ὗλαι κόσμος οἰκοδομημάτων ἐστίν, ἄψυχος ἀψύχων·
