παρό μοι δοκοῦσι καὶ οἱ πρῶτοι τὰ ὀνόματα τοῖς πράγμασι θέμενοι — σοφοὶ γὰρ ἦσαν — εἰκότως αὐτὴν προσαγορεῦσαι δεκάδα, ὡσανεὶ δεχάδα οὖσαν, παρὰ τὸ δέχεσθαι καὶ κεχωρηκέναι τὰ γένη πάντα τῶν ἀριθμῶν καὶ λόγων τῶν κατ’ ἀριθμὸν
