Φωνῆς μὲν δὴ τῆς θείας πέρι τοσαῦτα. δεόντως δ’ ἄν τις ἀπορήσαι, τοῦ χάριν, πλείστων ὅσων μυριάδων εἰς ἓν ἠθροισμένων χωρίον, ἕκαστον θεσπίζειν τῶν δέκα λογίων ἠξίωσεν ὡς οὐχὶ πρὸς πλείους ἀλλ’ ὡς πρὸς ἕνα, „οὐ μοιχεύσεις“ λέγων, „οὐ φονεύσεις,“ „οὐ κλέψεις“ (Exod. 20, 13 ss.) καὶ τὰ ἄλλα ταύτῃ.
