Τὸν μὲν οὖν ἄλογον καὶ ἄψυχον ὡς ἀληθῶς τῶν τοιούτων θίασον ἐατέον, τὸν δὲ τῶν σκέψει καὶ εὑρέσει χρωμένων ἐπικριτέον. αὐτίκα τοίνυν ὁ πολιτικὸς μὲν ἥκιστα δὲ δοξομανὴς τρόπος, ἐφιέμενος τῆς ἀμείνονος γενεᾶς, ἣν ἀρεταὶ κεκλήρωνται, ζητῶν τε καὶ ἀνευρίσκων αὐτὴν εἰσάγεται.
