οὕτως καὶ τοῖς Λευίταις τὰ μὲν ἔργα ἐπιτελεῖν ἄχρι πεντηκονταετίας διείρηται (Num. 4,30 ss.), ἀπαλλαγεῖσι δὲ τῆς πρακτικῆς ὑπηρεσίας σκοπεῖν ἕκαστα καὶ θεωρεῖν, τῆς ἐν τῷ πρακτικῷ βίῳ κατορθώσεως γέρας λαβόντας ἕτερον βίον, ὃς ἐπιστήμῃ καὶ θεωρίᾳ μόνῃ χαίρει.
