Τοὺς μὲν οὖν ἀκριβεστέρους χαρακτῆρας ὁ ἑξῆς μηνύσει λόγος. ἐπανιτέον δ’ ἐπὶ τὰ προταθέντα κεφάλαια καὶ ἀρκτέον ἀπὸ τῶν μίσους χάριν ἀποδιδρασκόντων. „ἔκρυψε“ γάρ φησιν „Ἰακὼβ Λάβαν τὸν Σύρον, τοῦ μὴ ἀπαγγεῖλαι αὐτῷ ὅτι ἀποδιδράσκει, καὶ ἀπέδρα αὐτὸς καὶ τὰ αὐτοῦ πάντα“ (Gen. 31,20. 21).
