καὶ μικροῦ τὸ μέγιστον ἄγος, ἀδελφοκτονίαν, εἰργάσαντο, εἰ μὴ παρηγορίαις τοῦ πρεσβυτάτου μόλις ἐπείσθησαν, ὃς παρῄνει μὴ ἐφάψασθαι τοῦ μιάσματος, ἀλλ’ αὐτὸ μόνον εἰς ἓν τῶν ὀρυγμάτων ῥῖψαι, διανοούμενός τι σωτήριον, ἵνα λαβὼν μετὰ τὴν ἀναχώρησιν ἀπαθῆ παντὸς κακοῦ παραπέμψῃ τῷ πατρί.
