Ἤκουσα μέντοι καθ’ ἑτέραν ἰδέαν τροπικώτερον τὰ περὶ τὸν τόπον ἀκριβούντων. ἦν δὲ τοιάδε· τὸν βασιλέα τῆς Αἰγύπτου τὸν ἡμέτερον νοῦν ἔλεγον εἶναι, τὸν τῆς καθ’ ἕκαστον σωματικῆς χώρας ἡγεμόνα, ὃς οἷα βασιλεὺς ἀνῆπται τὸ κράτος.
