ὁ δὲ τὸ μὲν πρῶτον κελεύει ἀνοιχθῆναι τοὺς σωροὺς ἅπαντας, ὑπολαμβάνων εὐθυμοτέρους παρασκευάσειν τοὺς ἰδόντας καὶ τρόπον τινὰ τὰς ψυχὰς ἀναθρέψειν πρὸ τῶν σωμάτων ἐλπίσι χρησταῖς, ἔπειτα διὰ τῶν ἐπιτραπέντων τὰς σιταρχίας ἐπώλει τοῖς ἔχουσιν ὠνητικῶς, στοχαζόμενος τοῦ μέλλοντος ἀεὶ καὶ τὸ ἐπιὸν ὁρῶν τοῦ παρόντος ἀκριβέστερον.
