ὁ δὲ πρεσβύτατος τῶν ἀδελφῶν, ὃς καὶ ἐν ἀρχῇ, συντιθεμένων τὴν ἐπιβουλήν, ἠναντιοῦτο, „ἐπὶ δὴ πεπραγμένοις“ εἶπεν "ἀνωφελεῖς αἱ μεταμέλειαι· παρεκάλουν, ἱκέτευον, ἐξετάζων ὅσον ἐστὶ τὸ ἀνοσιούργημα, μὴ θυμῷ χαρίζεσθαι· συναινεῖν δέον, ταῖς ἀβουλίαις ἑαυτῶν εἴξατε.
