τὸ μὲν οὖν ἐπίταγμα πάντων ἀνιαρότατον, ὁ δὲ καιρὸς αὐτὸ προστάττει μᾶλλον τοῦ κελεύοντος, ᾧ πειστέον ἐξ ἀνάγκης διὰ τἀπιτήδεια, μόνης Αἰγύπτου χορηγούσης αὐτὰ τοῖς λιμῷ πιεσθεῖσιν.“
