ἐδόκει δὲ τῶν μὲν ἀναγκαίων ὑστεριζόντων — ὁ γὰρ κομισθεὶς πρότερος σῖτος ἐπιλελοίπει —, κρατοῦντος δὲ τοῦ λιμοῦ καὶ πιέζοντος, ὠνησομένους ἀπιέναι, μὴ βαδιεῖσθαι δὲ τοῦ νεωτάτου καταμένοντος· τὸν γὰρ τῆς χώρας ἐπίτροπον ἀπηγορευκέναι δίχα τούτου παραγενέσθαι. λογισάμενος δὲ ἅτε σοφὸς ἀνήρ,
