ἀποχεῖ τὴν τῶν δακρύων φοράν. εἶτ’ ἀπονιψάμενος λογισμῷ τῆς ἀνίας ἐπεκράτησε καὶ προσελθὼν εἱστία τοὺς ξένους ἀποδοὺς πρότερον καὶ τὸν ἀντὶ τοῦ νεωτάτου κατασχεθέντα εἰς ὁμηρείαν· συνειστιῶντο δὲ καὶ ἄλλοι τῶν παρ’ Αἰγυπτίοις δοκίμων.
