ἃ μὲν γὰρ προσεδόκησαν, ταῦτα ἦν· ἐπὶ κλοπῇ τοῦ ἀποδοθέντος ἀργυρίου συκοφαντίαν ἕξειν, ἀδελφὸν τὸν ὁμηρεύοντα μὴ ἀπολήψεσθαι, προσαποβαλεῖν καὶ τὸν νεώτατον ἴσως ὑπὸ τοῦ σπουδάσαντος αὐτὸν ἀχθῆναι βίᾳ κατασχεθέντα.
