ταῦτα συνείροντος, ἀχανεῖς ἐπάγησαν, λύπης καὶ φόβου, τῶν ἀργαλεωτάτων κακῶν, ἐξαίφνης ἐπιπεσόντων, ὡς μηδὲ διᾶραι τὸ στόμα δύνασθαι· τῶν γὰρ ἀπροσδοκήτων κακῶν αἱ προσβολαὶ καὶ τοῖς δεινοῖς περὶ λόγους ἀφωνίαν ἐμποιοῦσι.
