τὸ δὲ πλεῖστον τῆς κατηγορίας ῥυήσεται κατ’ ἐμοῦ· πολλὰ γὰρ ὑπεσχόμην τῷ πατρὶ προέσθαι παρακαταθήκην λαμβάνειν ὁμολογῶν, ἣν ἀποδώσειν, ὅταν ἀπαιτηθῶ· πῶς δ’ ἄν, εἰ μὴ ἐξευμενισθείης αὐτός, ἀποδοῦναι δυναίμην; οἶκτον δέομαι τοῦ πρεσβύτου λαβεῖν καὶ εἰς ἔννοιαν ἐλθεῖν τῶν κακῶν οἷσπερ ἀνιαθήσεται μὴ κομισάμενος ὃν ἀβουλῶν ἐνεχείρισεν.
