ἄργυρός τε καὶ χρυσὸς καί, τὸ τούτων ἀναγκαιότερον, αἱ τροφαὶ παρ’ ἐμοὶ μόνῳ ταμιεύονται διανέμοντι καὶ κατακερματίζοντι πρὸς τὰς ἀναγκαίας χρείας ἑκάστοις τῶν δεομένων, ὡς μήτε τι τῶν εἰς τρυφὴν περιττεῦσαι μήτε τι τῶν εἰς ἐκπλήρωσιν ἐνδείας ἐπιλιπεῖν.
