παραγενομένων δὲ καὶ τὰ περὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν ἄπιστα καὶ μείζονα ἐλπίδων διηγουμένων, οὐ πάνυ προσεῖχε· κἂν γὰρ οἱ λέγοντες ἀξιοπιστότατοι, ἀλλ’ ἥ γε τοῦ πράγματος ὑπερβολὴ ῥᾳδίως συναινεῖν οὐκ ἐπέτρεπεν.
