δέ ἐστι πολιτικὸς ἀνὴρ τοῦ βιοῦντος κατὰ φύσιν. οὐκ ἀπὸ σκοποῦ μέντοι καὶ χιτῶνα ποικίλον ἀναλαμβάνειν λέγεται (Gen. 37, 3)· ποικίλον γὰρ πολιτεία καὶ πολύτροπον, μυρίας ὅσας ἐνδεχομένη μεταβολάς, προσώποις, πράγμασιν, αἰτίαις, πράξεων ἰδιότησι, καιρῶν καὶ τόπων διαφοραῖς.
